(Santa Barbara, CA – April 21, 2008) Tom Mielko announced today that an agreement has been reached with the new Sosebee Gallery to represent him in Nantucket. The Sosebee Gallery will open on Memorial Day weekend in the same location on South Wharf that the popular Mielko Gallery occupied for thirty-four years before it closed last fall. The owners of the Sosebee Gallery, Debbie and Doug Sosebee, are both artists.

“I’m very pleased about how this worked out,” said Mielko, “Debbie managed my gallery for six years, and I knew her late father, Jack Brown, very well. He was one of my closest friends on the island and an exceptional artist.”

Romantic Realist Mielko has gained a following for his charming depictions of beach scenes, and both his originals and giclees of Nantucket life will be offered at the Sosebee Gallery beginning this summer. The master artist is also represented by the Hoffman Gallery in Park City, Utah, and additional works are available at his studio gallery in Santa Barbara.

The Sosebee Gallery is scheduled to open on May 23, 2008, at 4 Old South Wharf, Nantucket.
